Alabasta Saga canon moments
- Reverse Mountain arc
-As the crew starts sailing towards Grand Line, they are caught in the storm and eventually drift to Calm Belt. Nami is vehemently trying to get them out of there but the rest of the crew - Zoro especially though - don't seem to want to get into the storm right away. Although Zoro doesn't outright do what she tells him, he still listens to her explanation and even asks her more about it - it's not like he totally ignored or dismissed anything she said. However, before she can finish the most crucial part, the crew itself witnesses the reason behind Nami's rush to get out of Calm Belt. Because it's the Sea Kings' nest, yes?
-> ch. 101
-After they were finally able to get out of it, Nami exhaustedly asks Zoro whether he understands why they have to use the entrance in order to get into Grand Line now - and Zoro answers her he understood. It then occurs to Nami how they are going to climb the mountain, but Zoro doesn't seem to really want to believe that. He is still the first one to react to her and Nami starts explaining more about it.
-> ch. 101
-The navigator and the swordsman beside their captain having a light conversation as they are on the Reverse Mountain about to enter Grand Line ^^
-> ch. 102
-The navigator and the swordsman being quite close to each other and watching their captain with Sanji and Usopp ^^
-> ch. 104
-Hahah xD As the crew decided to take Ms. Wednesday and Mr. Nine to their home island, they encounter various unpredictable and serious weather problems. Although the weather was quite bizarre, Zoro was still able to sleep through it and he woke up only after it was over. As he wonders why they are all lazying around and starts talking to their hostages, he gets a solid punch from Nami asking him whether he had a nice nap. Zoro looks like he is going to argue with her, but surprisingly, .....
-> ch. 106
...in the next panel, we see he received some punches from her (I guess at least three) and there doesn't seem to be a single scratch on her body. Thus, it's save to assume that although Zoro seriously doesn't understand a single reason why was he beat up, he wouldn't hurt her back just because of it. More than anything though, he was quite pawned by her at that moment, he had no chance to even fight back xD
-> ch. 106
-Yah, yes... Zoro in his roundabout way tells Nami there is no use to worry when she only pointed out that for Luffy, maybe there is nothing weird to go in. From the way she was behaving, he probably realized she was worried and he outright tells her it's no use to worry - even though she didn't say her worries out loud.
-> ch. 106
In the end, the crew decides to go and they land in an island with a name Whiskey Peak.
In the end, the crew decides to go and they land in an island with a name Whiskey Peak.
- Whiskey Peak arc
-> ch. 106
-A couple of heavy drinkers we have there; Zoro and Nami have some things quite in common, don't you think? ^^ And heck, did they seriously say "couple"? XD What's more, they can hold their drink so much one must think they have to have these kind of challenges all time ^^
-> ch. 107
-Unexpectedly, Zoro goes down before her and Nami comments him on being pathetic. From her response, it's possible they were both competing with each other, too ^^ but I would still want to see a competition between them only ^^
-> ch. 107
-Now that I think about it... Zoro didn't seem to understand why was he beat by Nami before they entered Whiskey Peak, right? And then, he tells her there is no use to worry about some things and Sanji tells Nami he will protect her. When it turns out Whiskey Peak is a town of bounty hunters that are about to catch all the Straw Hats, Zoro shows up and tells them to let his crewmates sleep a little longer since they had a rough day... In the end, I think Zoro did know or at least thought why was the crew worn out after they set from the Twin Capes and encountered some problems. What's more, he definitely kept his words when he told Nami to not worry because he took care of those bounty hunters. Nami then didn't have to worry about her safety...yeah, just safety.
->ch. 107
-Igaram offers some money to Zoro if he successfully sends Vivi back to Alabasta, but he seriously is in no mood or has no intention to do so. However, the words "rewarded greatly" wasn't overheared by a certain someone. In the next panel where Nami makes her appearance, Zoro is calling her name in quite a surprised way - he definitely wasn't expecting her to be there. Either way, they are the only ones aware of their surroundings since they are the only ones awake during the Baroque Work's scheme of killing them. I have to say, Nami is one hell of an evil girl, she appeared only after hearing they will be rewarded ^^;
-> ch. 110
-Despite the surprise, Zoro still can't help but let some sweatdrops form on his forehead and let a sigh escape his mouth. His face somehow tells me he knows she is up to something no good ^^"
-> ch. 111
-Although Zoro knows what Nami is doing isn't really right, he doesn't stop her. It's not like he was afraid or anything either, because seriously, Igaram had nothing to do with him and Zoro wouldn't care less about what Nami wanted to do with Igaram. He still doesn't like her attitude and comments it.
-> ch. 111
-Suprisinly enough, although Nami accepted the offer to protect Vivi, she commands Zoro to do the job. Now *crack crack*, the most funny things are coming ^^. Nami tells him to go, but he shouts angerly why does he have to go. The next words he didn't outright shout and he expressed displeasure of being involved in Nami's money-macking schemes. From what he said, it could be said he doesn't really care she uses these dirty money-making schemes as long as he isn't part of it (since he shouts out, that he really hates being used by others - the bubble is sharp). He then says he isn't a tool like Sanji - but notice that the bubble is not so sharp like the previous one. He maybe wanted to indicate he can help her but doesn't want to be used as a tool? However, Nami isn't nice with him and she sure knows how to hit his nerve and make him angry.
-> ch. 111 - Luffy's gotta pee was so random here xD
-As Zoro doesn't want to listen to Nami's request, she starts bringing up his debt to her. If he didn't refuse her reque- I mean command, she wouldn't have brought this issue up and he would be just like her tool, right? What's more, that debt of theirs would still remain and Nami could use it against him later on.
To clear the debt he owes her, he has to do as she says and that is what they will call it even. It's save to assume he wouldn't want to do anything to be indebted to her again now, right? Either way, those 200,000 Belli are paid off just by rescuing Vivi's life and Nami probably expected more money after they managed to get Vivi back into her country.
What is the most interesting thing here is how Nami knows what to say to make him do what she wants. She asks him whether he can't keep a single promise - and the word promise means a lot to Zoro. He promised Kuina to become the world's best swordsman, he promised Luffy to never lose again. Both of his promises are very strong and important to him, there would be no wonder if he didn't like breaking promises either. Nami wasn't in both times he declared his biggest promises ever, and yet, she still knew the word promise means a lot to him. Even though she is blackmailing him, the fact she knows what to say and how to make him do what she wants despite his unwilingness shows she knows him very well.

-> ch. 111
-Although Zoro curses her (in a way), she isn't in the slightest bit scared or disturbed by it - maybe because she is kind of used to his empty threats now? She even admits to herself she will probably go to hell when she dies. What's more, Zoro still goes to do what she told him to even though he didn't want to in the slightest XD
Nami is also very sure of Zoro's fighting skills and even assures Igaram of it. Although she didn't realize it at that time, she also almost left one billion Belli in his hands (because that's the amount of money she will get if they manage to protect Vivi - of course, Zoro was the one to go and do the job, while Nami stayed behind).

-> ch. 111
-Oh well, the captain woke up and as he saw some beaten up people, he somehow came to a conclusion Zoro was a bad guy for doing that to them. He then started fighting Zoro despite whatever excuses Zoro had. Their fight was not so long as it ended soon with Nami punching them both.
-> ch. 113
-Nami later tries to run away from the island before the enemies would be able to get ahold of her face but when she realizes the enemies already took it, she comes back quite furiously. Vivi apologizes to her for this, Luffy is distracted by those animals and their interesting skills and Zoro takes notice and wonders where were she even planning to run away to. He didn't stop her when she tried to run away, probably because he himself didn't believe she could be able to run from them. Or maybe, he knew she was terrified and stopping her would just be insensitive of him, too.
Zoro later showed quite a pleased face when it was clear the three of them won't be able to run from BW officers - and I can't help but think it's also because Nami would be close to him and he could protect her better this way haha :P just my headcannon though, don't take it seriously.

-> ch. 113
-Despite the dangerous situation and what they just witnessed, Zoro is quick to regenerate - he knows getting away right now is more important than anything and the log pose is very essential to it. Zoro knows who he has to turn to in this situation and he asks Nami about the log.
-> ch. 113
-Zoro tells Nami to explain the situation to the rest that was unconscious and unaware of the situation..... but it seems like none was done. What's even more funny, it seems like Zoro and Nami agreed on beating them up as an explanation, since both Sanji and Usopp later stated they don't understand the situation at all. Zoro didn't even complain about them being beaten up instead of getting a proper explanation.
-> ch. 114
-After they encounter Ms. All-Sunday, Vivi exhaustedly exclaims she has no idea what that woman is planning and Zoro indirectly indicates that Nami is incomprehensible as well. Well, it has to be her, right? He might have been reffering to Luffy...but earlier, Nami acted few times quite on a whim (according to Zoro at least) - like beating Zoro without explaining what's going on to him and Zoro probably accepted the fact she is "incomprehensible", that's why he didn't further ask her why she beat him at that time xD but then again, in Whiskey Peak (that turned up to be a town of bounty hutners), he told them to let the crew rest since they had a rough day. It seems a bit like he knew what had happened (or at least thought about it).
-After much thinking about it, I came to a conclusion he was more refering to Luffy haha - Zoro was probably reffering to the fact Nami often wastes her time and think about their incomprehensible captain, too.

-> ch. 114
After all blackmailing and gaining a new crewmember onboard, the crew sails to their next destination: Little Garden ^^
After all blackmailing and gaining a new crewmember onboard, the crew sails to their next destination: Little Garden ^^
- Little Garden arc
-Zoro and Sanji participate in a food-hunting competition and Zoro gets (as always) lost finding his way. He then spots a figure that fairly resembles Nami and he tells her he was wondering what to do. Look how happy (and maybe even a bit embarrasingly because he got lost =3=) he looks after seeing her ^^ Surprisingly enough, THAT Zoro didn't suspect even for a minute it might be fake Nami. It seems like when Nami is involved, he lets his guard down ... maybe because he feels somehow secure around her? (Like she will make sure he won't ever be lost? ^^)
-> ch. 119
-Nami commenting the situation and Zoro complements it with his own little remarks ^^ Nami often states what is gonna happen/happening to them and Zoro is just pointing out the obvious from her statements.
-> ch. 121
-Although the three of them are in a situation where they can't do much, Nami seems annoyed that despite it, Zoro isn't doing anything.
-> ch. 122
-As the result...can one even say that? Zoro asks the giant whether the guy can still fight and help the swordsman in crushing enemies after Zoro CUTS HIS OWN FEET. Calm down, Zoro. You made me almost lose my heart back there.
It seems like Zoro was kind of answering Nami's plea back there when she asked him to do something. Now, he said his solution but Nami doesn't really like it and asks him whether he is joking. He tells her he is saying it because they are in this situation and he then asks her what is her solution when he suggested his and she didn't like it.

-> ch. 122
-Nami still can't or doesn't want to believe what he is going to do and wonders how is he going to fight without his legs. She is definitely the one who is the most worried about his legs now, because Vivi is just speechles and Zoro has this "I don't care" attitude.
-> ch. 122
-Right when Zoro is about to cut off his legs, Nami closes her eyes in fright.
-> ch. 122
-Luffy arrives just in the right time before Zoro could successfully cut his legs off. Zoro still answers to the captain they are in no particular trouble. However Nami immediately notices his legs are bleeding and asks him how is that not being in trouble - she is also more horrified to see it than the guy who should be more concerned about it than the girl. She sure can worry about him even though he isn't concerned about himself, right? It's nice to know there is someone keeping an eye on the guy who doesn't care too much about getting injured - because seriously, he could even get a life-threatening wound but still act tough. However, there is where Nami would come, notice the wound and get a treatment for him or kick him into being treated ^^ jsut my headcannon haha...
-> ch. 122
-The marimo baka here decides to use the time he has left to decide on his pose but Nami doesn't really feel fascinated by this and tells him to worry about his wounds instead. I feel like she is calmer when Zoro didn't succeed in cutting his legs and she wonders how could he even think of something like that in the first place. They have quite a relaxed conversation now, and both the enemies and their ally are quite dumb-founded by it. It's just unbelievable how can they be so relaxed even though Zoro is bleeding like hell and they are about to become some nice wax figurines. Ms. Goldenweek's comment was just spot on ^^
Nami was probably really disappointed with Zoro's plan ... she told him to do something earlier on, but when he did something, she found it to be idiotic, right?

-> ch. 123
-A moment where Oda sacrificed one of his panels just to show these two's situation xD and of course, Nami doesn't like Zoro's positivity in the slightest xD
-> ch. 123
-Nami asks her friends what to do and Zoro still insists she should have picked a pose when she could. I am still a bit amazed Nami is asking such a question, when she knows she would have nothing very nice coming from Zoro's mouth. Only Vivi could have answered her more seriously, but if that was the case, Nami should have asked Vivi and not more in general. Well, I think she probably wanted Zoro to do something again but as you can see, she failed ^^;;
-> ch. 124
-Out of all the people, Zoro tells Nami to give up on trying to persuade their captain while the rest was more or less acting like her, too. He doesn't try to comfort others, but Nami only ^^ She kind of agrees with him and tries to swallow her words along with a cookie.
-> ch. 129
-Although Zoro was acting all cool and not so serious during the time they were dealing with Mr. 3, he is still troubled by it since he couldn't help in fighting with opponents when he was trapped. The third panel shows his wound he received because of his weakness - a weakness he showed to Nami and Vivi, too.
-> ch. 129
-Zoro and Luffy are first to notice Vivi's call of emergency regarding Nami. This means either one of them must have brought Nami inside of her room.
-> ch. 129
-However, since the next scene switched to Luffy, Usopp, Sanji and Vivi taking care of Nami, I think Zoro carried her inside and left.
-While he carried her, Sanji would come out from the kitchen and have a terrible cry of misery ^^"" Because honestly said, I don't think Luffy was the one to carry her inside because he was later surprised to discover her high body temperature. If he carried her inside, he wouldn't be surprised by this, right? So let's let our imaginations run wild and imagine something like this happening ^^:

-And as to why it was Zoro and not Sanji? Like I mentioned some lines above, Zoro and Luffy were the first ones to notice something wrong. The moment where the scene switched to the crew taking care of Nami, Zoro was outside. There are some things which indicate Zoro carried her inside the room and left.
When Nami regains some consciousness, she goes out and gets a headache because of Zoro's carelessness.To this, Zoro says: "That's why I told you to go get some rest while I take care of things." There was no scene whatsover where he told her that, which just boosts my theory he might have carried her inside and whispered it into her ear.
The second part of that sentence "while I take care of things" indicates he voluntarily took the temporary navigator position, because I don't think there would be someone who would order Zoro to do it - even Luffy knows how bad Zoro's sense of direction is. From this, it's very possible Zoro carried Nami inside and then whispered to her ear to get some rest while he takes care of things. If he said out loud he is gonna take care of things, he would be definitely stopped and he wouldn't be on navigator's position, right?
Later, when Nami tells him the atmosphere changed, he only says it has been clear all day. Nami then asks him to call everyone out.

-> ch. 130
-Zoro listens to Nami's request and without further ado immediately orders others to do the job, despite Sanji being a bit against him ordering them. Zoro didn't retort back at her request and this moment proves Zoro now shows absolute trust in Nami's abilities even though she is very sick - it's something totally opposed to what happened when they were trying to enter Grand Line. He doesn't question her requests anymore and instead does what she tells them, despite not knowing at that moment the reason why they have to do it.
-> ch. 130
-A small panel that could be easily overseen. Nami collapsed in Vivi's arms and while the crew announces their new destination, the one rushing there to take Nami into her room is no one else but Zoro.
-> ch. 130
-Although Zoro doesn't go to such lengths like yelling desperately whether is Nami going to die, it doesn't mean he doesn't care about her as we can see next he chose to sleep in her room with others than be outside and guard the ship. Wow, I'm even surprised that Sanji is the one on guard of the ship. They must have had some kind of fight - something like you were beside her all day, now leave the night to me or something like that ^^
-> ch. 132
After some sailing, the crew then encounters some strange people from a Drum Island kingdom and those strange people are defeated by Luffy and others. Merry was a bit damaged however. Soon, the crew managed to get into a climate zone and not long, they also spot the Drum Island.
After some sailing, the crew then encounters some strange people from a Drum Island kingdom and those strange people are defeated by Luffy and others. Merry was a bit damaged however. Soon, the crew managed to get into a climate zone and not long, they also spot the Drum Island.
- Drum Island arc
-Luffy hears a magical word Land and wants to go outside. However, he doesn't want to abandon his crewmember and starts nervously tapping his foot. Zoro who is also in the room tells him to go outside and when the captain leaves, he spends some time alone with Nami (the rest was outside, too). Again, I find it endearing how Zoro is still concerned about her but he doesn't show it in such extreme ways, but in his own caring quiet way ^^
-> ch. 132
-To strengthen the previous statement, right after they saw the island, the crew is amazed by it but Zoro immediately asks who is going to fetch the doctor to help Nami.
-> ch. 132
-In the end, Zoro was forced to stay on the ship to guard it. He however doesn't seem to find it very exciting and decides to practice (maybe also because he feels a bit guilty that because of his weakness, his friend got hurt? or maybe he is just restless to stay in one place when his crewmember was sick).
-> ch. 133
-Maybe Zoro also wanted to go with others to find a doctor for Nami, because when he is found by Vivi and Usopp, he said he wondered if the fishes in a river could lead him to a village. Why would he go to the village when he was asked to GUARD THE SHIP? I feel like he was anxious about Nami's situation and wanted to make sure with his own eyes she is alright... but then again, Zoro is really stupid at times and maybe Oda needed him to return for the sake of the plot xD
-> ch. 139
-In the end of the Drum Island arc, Chopper translates Carue's speech and Nami punches Zoro's head for his stupidness because the guy actually jumped into the cold river (making Carue jump after him and freeze to bones in the process). A moment that shows she is absolutely recovered enough to even deliver a punch to him ^^ and Zoro can't do anything else but receive the hit and sweat drop a bit.
-> ch. 154
With another new crewmember onboard, the crew sails to their most important destination: to Vivi's homeland, Alabasta.
With another new crewmember onboard, the crew sails to their most important destination: to Vivi's homeland, Alabasta.
- Alabasta arc
-After the crew encounters Bon Clay and discovers his dangerous abilities, Nami warns them about his potential as an enemy but Zoro tells her and the rest to not worry since he discovered a solution to this problem. Zoro didn't rudely cut Nami off during her speech and even acknowledged her point while trying to deliver a solution he came to.
-> ch. 156
-Upon entering Nanohana, Sanji buys some clothes and also perfumes. When Nami puts one perfume on, Sanji gets into his love mode and Zoro uncharacteristically utters how stupid he is. When I look closely, there is some kind of frown on Zoro's forehead and although he looks undisturbed and even has a bottle of alcohol (my own guess) near his mouth, he stops his movement of drinking just to say these words to Sanji. It's clear he certainly doesn't like Sanji's reaction to Nami here.
-> ch. 158
-Although Zoro isn't a weather specialist nor did he show interest in the rain powder, he still listened to Nami's explanation and understood more than Luffy who asked the question about it in the first place.
-> ch. 161
-Although Zoro also saved the camel, he isn't as furious as other guys when the camel indirectly told them he only carries girls. He then observes Nami getting on the camel and then pointed out the nickname she decided to call the camel was even worse than other suggestions.
-> ch. 162
-After hearing Rainbase is a gambling town, Nami's eyes turn into Bellis and Zoro is the only one to be a bit disturbed with her reaction (while Sanji and others don't seem to even notice her change in behaviour at all). Zoro knows Nami very well and he knew she can't have good ideas or healthy thoughts from it.
-> ch. 167
-Opposed to Sanji, it doesn't bother Zoro that Nami received a weapon she plans to use in a fight and was also quite annoyed when Sanji said the girls don't need to fight since he will protect them. After all, it's a lot more assuring for Zoro to know Nami can use something to protect herself with, right? (I can understand Sanji's need to protect girls or at least be the knight in a shining armor though ^3^)
-> ch. 168
-Later in Rainbase, the crew was spotted by marines thanks to a certain captain and his sniper. They had no choice but to separate and run. Zoro was at first with Vivi but he let her go first while keeping their enemies back. However, when Nami and Usopp are being targeted, he shows practically out of nowhere to save them. So, how come that Zoro with an extremely poor sense of direction can get there is a wonder to me o.o but either way, Zoro was able to help Nami and Usopp - and that matters the most ^^
-> ch. 168
- I don't know who is saying "And besides, Zoro, swords don't work against him...!!", but it seems to me Nami is saying it (she is behind Usopp with a little panicked face and Usopp is certainly saying the first bubble). If it's so, then it means Nami doesn't want Zoro to get in a pointless fight with Smoker and tells him the swords don't even work against the opponent.
-> ch. 169
-Nami is angry with Luffy and Usopp being relaxed in a prison and the next thing she does after she scolds them is punch Zoro to wake him up. Again, I think Nami still somehow relies on Zoro to help out somehow ^^ even though the guy was asleep.
Zoro's response also makes me think he is being woken up by her every morning and by the time, he had gotten used to it ^^""
Zoro's response also makes me think he is being woken up by her every morning and by the time, he had gotten used to it ^^""
-> ch. 170
-When Sanji shows up to help his crewmates, he doesn't miss a chance to ask Nami whether she likes him (he said "suki" which could be used for like and love...the more serious word for love is "aishite(ru)") and she isn't fazed by it but rather sees it as an unnecessary and inappropriate question in such a situation. Both Zoro and Nami sweat dropped after seeing him asking that and Zoro doesn't seem to really like it the most, because he commented upon it ^^
-> ch. 175
-Again, Zoro doesn't like Sanji's behaviour he has showed after Nami used a perfume. He is annoyed to the point to even tell the guy to die ^^;;
-> ch. 176
-Luffy decides to fight Crocodile which allowed the rest of the crew and Vivi to escape from him and head to Albarna. On their way, Zoro starts exercising and Nami tells him he is only wasting energy. Surprisingly enough, she commented only Zoro but Sanji answered to her as if she talked about the rest, too. Sanji starts making a theory about Zoro being afraid their captain could lose and they start calling each other names. Before their dispute could turn into a full-out fight, they are stopped by Nami with her punches.
-What I find interesting is that in Whiskey Peak, Zoro was all happy about fighting a Shichibukai so now that Sanji started talking about him being weak when facing one in reality, it seems to me he was slightly (very) implying Zoro's defeat by Mihawk. I think there is a small possibility Nami knew about it (she saw his awful wound in Cocoyashi Village, didn't she?) and knew this was just a useless fight and decided to stop it.

-> ch. 179
-The crew is getting closer to Albarna, but they have to cross a river first (or lake?). However, their animal friend Scissors can't cross it and in the end Nami took her coat off to reveal her dancer clothes since it is supposed to help him somehow. This was enough to boost its speed but along the way, she broke two other extra animals (Sanji and Eyelashes). Considering others that were there, Zoro was most probably the one saying she broke those two other animals, right? He couldn't believe such an attire could have so much effect now could he?
More importantly though, Zoro knows when Nami used her sex appeal but he doesn't fall for it so easily like some others.
More importantly though, Zoro knows when Nami used her sex appeal but he doesn't fall for it so easily like some others.
-> ch. 180
-Two mysterious figures start imitating Vivi in order to confuse the enemy. And it is later revealed that those two figures are Nami and Zoro. Nami tells Zoro to beat their enemies up and he just tells her to shut up. Yep, Nami is cheering for him but she doesn't realize he is a bit distracted by it XD
-> ch. 181
-The first thing we can see here is a frigging perfect Roronoa Zoro & Nami panel.
Aside from that, Zoro is struggling to find Nami who ran after two assassins decided to kill her first. He is quite desperate and although he knows she is only good at running and getting in his way, he definitely doesn't look like he wants her to get hurt.
On a side note, I think he was prepared to face both enemies himself since he said to himself he asked her to hide (when he definitely just told her to shut up haha..)

-Right at the moment Zoro spots Nami, he decides to use a shortcut (what a stupid decision Zoro-kun) and Nami panickly asks herself where did he go, because she knows if he was there, he would definitely save her.
->ch. 189
-However, the moment Daz Bones decided to strike Nami, to everyone's surprise, Zoro shows up just in time and saves her. It seems like his sense of direction and shortcut worked this time, phew... maybe because he has some kind of Eternal Pose pointing to Nami - that's why he found her despite choosing a shortcut? Earlier in Rain base, he also saved Nami and Usopp although he got separated from others.
Nami even seems surprised to see him here.

-After Zoro hears Ms. Doublefinger saying she is going to finish Nami off, he turns to her probably telling her to run, but before he could even start saying something like that, he discovers she is already gone. Either way though, the guy was seriously worried about her.
-> ch. 190
-What I find interesting in the Zoro + Nami vs Daz Bones + Ms. Doublefinger fight is the fact these two Straw Hats strived to become stronger to help their friends and along the way learned some new skills. These new skills/weapon both of them use a lot later on, too. Nami received and also came to understand the mechanics of her new weapon Clima Tact while Zoro learnt the skill of cutting iron - or, more like cutting things he wants. I think it's a bit of a speculation, but I have a feeling he also awoke his *huuuuge spoiler!!!* Kenbunshoku Haki here, too.

-> ch. 195
-After Zoro's fight, he is pretty much worn out but despite it, his mind starts travelling to the rest and also Nami. He thinks for himself Nami should have escaped safely. He didn't really think Nami could actually be fighting? Damn you Zoro, don't underestimate her! I can understand him though, because face it: she was supposed to deal with a goddamned assassin who was paired up with Mr. 1. He also couldn't have known what Nami's staff can do so in the end he assumed she chose to run away (which of course she didn't do).
The last bubble is said by Usopp and what he says indicates they decided on their own who is going to be with whom. So, why is it that Nami and Zoro decided to go together and Sanji wasn't seen complaining about it? Haha..there is still a possibility they drew sticks or something like that to determine who is going with whom. Even if that was still the case..it's really lucky Zoro and Nami got to be together in such a big and dangerous fight ^^

-> ch. 196
-A "nice" follow up Nami made up after Zoro's humble speech (opposed to on Little Garden when Zoro complemented Nami's speech).
-> ch. 196
-A very small panel but it really is Zoro carrying Nami on his backs (yes, it isn't that much shown in manga like in anime). This scene just shows how tolerant he is towards her since he was injured himself and he still carried her. Zoro knows full well she is lying through her teeth, but he still copes with it. And Nami? She was seen running before she even found him. Then why is it that after she saw him, she requested something like that? I think by ordering him something like that, she can make sure he is absolutely fine, because let's face it - his wound wouldn't seem like nothing at all. She knew if he colapsed, it was a very serious wound, whereas if he does carry her, Zoro will prove her he is alright. There is also a possibility of her being spoiled... Her leg might have truly hurt her, but it wasn't that bad to incapable her - before she found him and after he carried her, she is seen to stand and running fine, too.
What is also nice to see is that although their debt was already cleared, Nami can still order Zoro around even though the guy doesn't like it. He might have felt guilty because he got her injured (although not that seriously) - but either way, the issue here is he still complies with her, debt or not ^^
I also find it endearing that this time, it was Nami who forced him doing piggyback for her, while in Luffy's and Sanji's case, she was gravely sick and it couldn't be helped (and I think in Sanji's and Luffy's case, they supported her weigth with a sword..while here it seems like Zoro didn't do so -3-). And the last thing that just made this scene even more perfect is how she commented him on being a man and thus he shouldn't complain about carrying a woman ^^"

-Just as Zoro suspected, she can stand just fine but he still carried her and she wanted to be carried around by him, too ^^ he knows her so well and he can still tolerate her this much.
Sanji starts pestering Zoro about Nami's injuries but Zoro doesn't fight him back and only answers that she is alright. Zoro probably did feel a bit guilty about getting her hurt, otherwise he would have started picking a fight with Sanji, wouldn't he?
Sanji also most probably saw Zoro piggybacking her, right? Why didn't he say anything, but only asked why is she hurt? Hmmm... if Sanji didn't care about Zoro piggybacking her, there is a bright future awaiting them hahah XD

-Now, not only is Nami able to stand, she is also running just fine, isn't she? Which just shows Nami was earlier spoiled or she wanted to make sure Zoro was truly alright. It still doesn't change the fact she used her injury as an excuse to be carried around by him ^^.
-> ch. 200
-Just a small instance where Nami shows concern for the injured Zoro after he was hit by bullets.
-> ch. 207
-The first person Nami unconsciously turns to with her request is Zoro when they discover Vivi is trying her best to stop the war.
-> ch. 209
-The crew collapses from exhaustion after their fights. Zoro and Nami lie close to each other, rather, right accross each other.
-> ch. 211
-A lot later, the crew is invited into the bath with some other people from Alabasta kingdom, too. Even if Zoro did wanted to sneek a peak in women's bath, he knows full well how troublesome it is to pay Nami back, right? What's more, he knows it's indecent to do such a thing ^^"
-> ch. 213
-WHEN DID IT INCREASE TO TEN BILLION?! Ah whatever. Out of all people, Zoro has the biggest shock after Nami announces she forgot about those money for Vivi's sake. He immediatelly accuses her of being money loving and he doesn't like that side of her in the slightest (it's really good he pointed it out). Interestingly enough, Zoro and Chopper ride closer to her than the rest, too.
-> ch. 214
Earlier:
-Bon-chan proclaims he took the crew's boat and Zoro, Nami, Luffy and Chopper are the only ones to react to this. Just showing both Nami and Zoro sometimes react very similarly ^^

-Zoro and Usopp are taken aback by Nami's quick change of mood after she heard about jewels from Robin. Zoro comments Robin being underhanded after the older woman managed to bribe Nami - and Zoro certainly doesn't like it.
By the way, "Ah, it's love!" is the start of Sanji's speech.

-Alabasta Saga is really really good! Vivi really grew on me, that's why I was sad when she left them TT.TT I hope she makes a huge comeback soon (wanna see her encountering with Robin..that will be interesting)^^
-I think I kinda shipped ZoNa again when I saw the piggyback-ride in anime, I was like for real? Ahahaha, yeah, it has to be my most favourite moment ^^
-Aside from the piggyback, there are many other moments I just love: the way how she could blackmail him - the world's next strongest swordsman - or how she can still order him to do what she wants. There are other times where I was just amazed about how those two understand each other so well...basically, the two of them had a lot of moments in this Saga and I really liked them ^^
-I have just remembered that in the end of the Alabasta arc when Robin joined them, Zoro was very cautious around her - although she blowed a ship and worked for Crocodile, she didn't really harm any of them. I find it really intriguing, because when Zoro met Nami, he heard from her she is a thief, but after hearing that she is their new navigator from Luffy, he didn't suspect or doubt her or anything. Later, Nami had done some terrible things to them (stealing a ship with treasures and then trying to ditch them) and it was serious. After all the ordeals around Nami's betrayal, it probably left Zoro to be very cautious now. Haha..just shows how Nami's actions can leave such an impact in the guy ^^
