Orange Town°The first meeting and "Just how many of you are charging on one girl?"
-The first moment we have is when Zoro protects Nami from Buggy pirates. He protected someone who was a total stranger to him after he saw her determination to save his captain. He is even asking her whether she is injured, and Nami is still surprised to give a proper reply, because she is surprised someone saved her when she thought she is going to die. If Zoro didn't strike at that moment, Nami could most probably be seriously wounded or even dead. It surprised me to see him saying the pirates are attacking on one girl when he doesn't care about gender. I think that in a way, it was more pointed at them - that the fact men usually don't just attack a girl, and definitely not when her backs are facing them. It is also nice to know that in this moment, he somehow has "her back".
He didn't know who she was, but earlier, he did hear about her from other Buggy pirates and he was honestly amazed by her abilities, he even wondered whether she would join them despite the things he was told about her. Even before he witnessed her abilities, he already acknowledges she must be special to have such an ability.
Nami however was very surprised to know that a well-known bounty hunter like Zoro is actually a pirate's friend and despite knowing his bad reputation, she haven't shown to be afraid of him. She can't understand why a pirate hunter could want to become a pirate. However, she immediately categorizes him as one because of his relationship with Luffy. That is also why his later actions surprise her so much - despite the fact he was a pirate, he still decided to carry his captain in a cage although he was injured. Knowing a pirate hunter is now a pirate, and then witnessing his resolve to go to such lenghts to save his pirate captain - these two moments are moments where Nami's opinion of pirates were shaken once again (previously it was with Luffy - when Luffy hinted her not all the pirates are the same) and this time even more greatly because Zoro's actions were really extreme.
As if it wasn't enough, she has showed to worry about his injuries despite knowing each other not long. It is very strange how Nami reacted, because whenever she hears about someone dangerous, the first thing she does is being terrified by that person. And yet, she didn't react that way and not only did she worry about him, she is also close to him and they have conversations going. Later, she even tells Luffy to leave Zoro alone because he is still injured.
Syrup Village°Understanding each other and "So how are you going to repay me?"
In Syrup Village, it is more clearly shown that both of them don't mind the other one's company. Nami sits next to Zoro and he doesn't mind it in the slightest. Even more, Nami gets angry at Zoro for scaring the kids ^^"
But overall, the both of them are more calm and composed opposed to a certain captain xD even right here in the early One Piece, Zoro and Nami are already like some kind of Luffy's guardians, knowing how troublesome he is and yet they don't have another choice but to follow him.
Although Zoro and Nami got along well, it can't be said that Zoro trusted her completely. After all, the thing Zoro heard Nami say is that she is a thief, and if Luffy didn't say she is their navigator, Zoro wouldn't even remember what he heard about those Buggy pirates. Knowing she can steal treasures is something to be already suspicious of, but the fact Nami used him to get out of an oil floor doesn't really help either. Zoro declares he will teach her a lesson or even kill her - note that he is very angry.
However, when he later shows up, he shows these emotions only momentarily and eventually, he stops being angry anymore. Despite the fact he didn't trust her completely because of that, he still cares about her - it is seen in many snippets - he takes one of Usopp's shot to protect Usopp and Nami from harm, he is concerned about her as he is seen to be a bit distracted by her when she starts running from her hiding place and lastly, he immediately tells Nami to duck when an object was flying towards her. His distrust towards her however seem to never slow him down in his reactions as he immediately reacts or warns her.
What is the most interesting is the fact Nami understood Zoro very quickly despite knowing him shortly. She realized that the moment Zoro was shot by Usopp was because he tried to protect them.
Since Zoro didn't have all three swords with him, he had troubles fighting the enemies. By this point, Nami already knows he is very strong and she believes he would be able to turn the tables in their favour if he had all three swords with him. What does she do to help him? She knows that if she won't do anything, all of them will be killed and thus, she puts her life on the line and decides to take back Zoro's swords from the enemies (since Usopp is wounded too). What's also interesting to note is the fact how both of them think similarly here - Zoro thinks and wishes he needs at least one more sword and Nami thinks and decides she has to get his swords back if the situation goes on.
Although she didn't handle his swords with much care, Zoro is still very glad and thankful she was able to get them for him. From her actions, despite his distrust, it's clear that she is a good person and Zoro knows that. He saw her putting her life on the line just for the sake of getting his swords back. And I definitely like how both of them are smiling from Nami's success.
Arlong Park°Nami's betrayal and "It's not like I really trusted her anyway"
Both of them understood and cared about each other already, but it won't take long and their relationship is put to a test. The next important moment for their relationship is when Nami indeed does do something to abuse their trust they had towards her - she leaves with all their treasures and Going Merry. Zoro is clearly taken by it and he is angry for letting his guard down around her. No matter how I look at it, he was already starting to fully trust her, but this was shaken with Nami running away and stealing from them.
When Zoro goes after Nami to take her back, he encounters Arlong's pirate crew. Zoro clearly doesn't like the guy and he tells him he is here to look for a single woman, betray or not.
He was there mainly because of Luffy's orders - remember, the guy was earlier angry with Nami who ran from them with all their treasures. And yet, when Zoro finally finds her, his face clearly says he is very shocked and surprised. He can't believe Nami could be a part of Arlong's crew and he also questions her about it, asking her whether what she is saying is truly her true self.
I don't know what exactly was on his mind by this moment, but the fact he asked her whether this is her true self implies he is trying to cool his head and think this situation through. He didn't immediately jump in what she said and he suspected she could be lying and not saying truth. After all, why else would he still notice a change of her expression? If he already believed every shit she just spouted, he wouldn't have a care for the face she made. And yet, he noticed it and at that moment, he must have started to realize Nami was probably trying to act though in front of him. He also said he didn't trust her only AFTER he saw the expression on Nami's face change.
If he truly didn't trust her like he claims here, why else would he jump in the pool knowing full well Nami could just leave him be? He already found hard to believe Nami would be a part of a crew with Arlong, but her changed expression after Arlong accused her of being a witch was something that ensured him the most that she is not so cold Arlong described her to be.
By jumping in the pool Zoro was probably trying to test out Nami's trust and you know what, he was right. He knew she was trying to act though and he not only saw through it, he even pointed it at her. That must have frustrated Nami a lot, knowing someone she thought she could deceive in the end wasn't deceived by her and he even points out her flaws in there. This is also an important moment where Zoro was able to very deeply understand Nami 1) although he didn't know her too long 2) and even though all the facts about Nami betraying them was pointing at him, he didn't believe it completely.
More than anything, Zoro never truly knew what happened exactly in her past, he was truly just observing what happened here and there and he must have realized Arlong had something to do with the death of Nami's parent too. Aside from the trust, he has also shown a lot in previous times that he cares about her and he knows she is a good and caring person after all.
The swordsman is later freed from the prison thanks to Nami and she tells him to leave the place but? Zoro didn't do so, because apparently, he has nothing to do outside of there. Only after he says that line does he also add he promised Luffy to bring her back. Something tells me Zoro already decided to save her or at least defeat Arlong, promise or not.
Zoro later decides to go and save Usopp because Arlong wasn't present in the park. When it is revealed Nami probably killed Usopp and she even declares it, Zoro rans towards her. This is one of the most rocky moments these two have. However, what I find interesting here is that he knows Nami can put a facade in other to save herself and her friends too - and this facade is something Zoro already saw through previously. He knows Nami is pretending here again, and because he has enough of it, he charges at her in order to wipe that facade off her face. However, he is stopped by Sanji who as Zoro said, doesn't know much in the first place.
If Zoro was truly so angry at Nami for killing Usopp and he wanted to kill her, why doesn't he show to be angry anymore when Sanji asks him about what Nami previously said? Instead, he is smirking a bit, and what he states implies he didn't truly believed what Nami said either.
As if I didn't say it. Here, Zoro shows he doesn't exactly care about what happened in her past, he knows that listening to it won't change the fact they will get her back from Arlong. Besides, he already suspects Arlong is the cause and the death of Nami's parent played a role here too. The only thing he didn't know is the fact Nami was trying to buy back her village from Arlong - but on the other hand, knowing him, he could be smart enough to realize Arlong was doing something not so good to her village.
All the time during their fight against Arlong, the crew has shown how much they care about Nami, and I find a moment where Zoro shows Nami that Arlong is going down to be extremely nice. However, the most surprising moment was when Arlong took Zoro's bandages. It is clear from Nami's face she is very worried about Zoro's wounds and she realizes he has lied to her about it earlier in order to protect her. If Zoro told her he got his wound from a Shichibukai, I doubt Nami would be able to hit him in his wound, which however would make her more suspicious to the Arlong. He knew that Nami has a soft spot when it comes to these - she has shown to be very worried about his wounds that weren't that serious like this one and if she knew how serious this one was, there is no way Arlong would be able to trust her. After Nami saw the excess of his wounds, she must have felt guilty for hitting him there.
In the battle, Zoro is seriously injured and he is shown to be unable to fight. However, when an officer Nezumi shows up, Zoro doesn't like the guy's actions at all. He catches him with ease and he tells him the guy isn't really nice for trying to ruin the moment where people were celebrating. No matter how I look at it, Zoro was seriously angry that someone was trying to ruin the moment where Nami was truly freed from Arlong, his severe injuries weren't that significant to him at that moment at all.
Loguetown arc°A victim and "I will happily lend you my money"
After the events in Arlong Park, both of them are shown to trust each other more. To the point they shouldn't. Nami's first victim in her money schemes is Zoro who needed to borrow some money in other to buy swords. However, he definitely lowered his guard around her as he totally didn't catch her talking about interest - while Nami is very happy he fell for it (what a sly move Nami-san! he trusts you and wants to borrow some money, but your interest is just too high!). Zoro is however the first and only victim who Nami happilly lended her money to without the past debts as he by that point didn't do anything he has to repay her for.
Reverse Mountain arc°Calm storm and "This place is a den for Sea King monsters"
After Loguetown, the crew faces the greatest challenge-how to get in the Grand Line. A Reverse Mountain arc is a very important arc where it is clearly shown how much a navigator is needed. Zoro pays attention to Nami as she tries to explain why is Calm Belt dangerous, but before she can get to the crucial point, the whole crew experiences it. It's not like he didn't respect her or something, he just found hard to believe a storm is safer than Calm Belt (who wouldn't) and it's not like he totally dissmissed what she said, as he still asks for her point.
In the first place, Zoro asked why didn't they just head south to Grand Line instead of using a mountain entrance, he couldn't know Calm Belts were dangerous before he experienced it. Later, he admits that Nami was right and they have to use the entrance (although he still finds it hard to believe).

Later, he admits that Nami was right and they have to use the entrance (although he still finds it hard to believe).
Later, they succesfully enter Grand Line and also get two new passengers onboard - Ms. Wednesday and Mr. Nine. The crew then sails to their next destination but along the way, they have to overcome many weather changes. All crewmembers had their hands full of work, but Zoro alone was able to sleep through all of it. When he wakes up, he doesn't have much time before Nami mercilessly punches him for his idiocy. Although Zoro shows he wanted to go back at her... he eventually receives more punches from her before he can even say something proper xD Now, this moment is important, yes? It shows perfectly how Nami doesn't hesitate to beat someone like Zoro (a strong and dangerous man who is no rubber and doesn't like being beaten around by girls) for what he did/didn't do AND Zoro also doesn't do something like beating her up for it. It's not like he is really afraid of her or anything, but rather, he didn't even have a chance after she beat him real good.
Whiskey Peak arc°2 drinkers and "You can't even keep a promise?"
Zoro and Nami are shown to engage in a drinking contest with the inhabitants - they are the only crewmembers with this much interest in it and I like it! That just shows these two people can have things in common and I hope Oda uses it in the future more ^^
Back then, do you still remember what happened in Loue Town? Zoro borrowed some money from Nami. However, he only returned 1/3 of Nami's interest and that is something Nami used against him. In Whiskey Peak, it is shown Nami can make Zoro do what she wants despite the fact he is very strongly against it and he even goes to such lenghts as to argue with her about it. Most interestingly though, it's Nami's sentence about the promise that actually makes Zoro do what she wants. Nami wasn't there when Zoro made the biggest promises in his life to Kuina and later to Luffy. She wasn't there, and yet she knew what he deems as important, the fact promises are things he would never want to break.
With that said, Zoro has to go even though he doesn't want. Their debt is this way wiped out and it is not mentioned anymore (at least in manga).

And as a little bonus, Nami is even kind of praising him of his strenght ^^ just shows she knows how strong the guy is ^^
Little Garden°Wax Nami and "Those fools are unusually relaxed"
Moving on, their relationship is a lot more stable as they are able to trust each other a lot now. When Zoro for example gets lost, he is very happy to see "Nami" because he knows she can help him. This is already a moment that shows he trusts her completely when it comes to navigation. However, in his relief in finding Nami, he absolutely missed the fact that it isn't Nami he is talking to, but someone/something else. That is to say, Zoro seems to sometimes still let his guard down when Nami is concerned (aside from danger) - he admited it himself in Baratie arc and now, he didn't really consider it might be someone else than Nami too. And knowing him, he should have been able to kind of fight back or something and he could have probably been able to get from the enemy, IF he suspected "Nami" here, just a little.
Later, Zoro, Nami and Vivi who were all captured by Mr. 3 stand on top of his candle set. There are a lot of things going on here, but I will mention only two most important things. When Zoro declares he will cut off his feet to fight the opponents, Nami and Vivi are both extremely shocked by it. However, Nami can't exactly say what else can he do, so in the end, he attemps to do it. Thanks to Luffy's intrusion, Zoro didn't succesfully do it, but when he is asked about whether they have problems, Zoro just casually says nothing at all. Nami however finds his bleeding legs to be a problem and it is clear she doesn't like it in the slightest. This moment shows how much Nami can be worried about him a lot even though Zoro doesn't need it and he doesn't consider that a problem in the slightest. It is still nice to see Nami would worry about him and care about him even when he deems it as necessary. Knowing the guy being a fighter and if he doesn't want to seriously look for his own wounds, then someone else has to do it right?
After Nami has calmed down, she and Zoro have an extremely relaxed conversation going on and both Vivi and their enemies were taken aback by it. These two somehow already reached the point where they can even talk about these kind of things as they have already gotten used to it now. They are shown to be interacting the most despite being in such a condition, it's hard to explain, but I find it like they understand each other so well they know what awaits them. As if it wasn't enough, Oda also gave them a small moment of their interaction in the battle Straw Hats vs. Barouque Works on Little Garden even though they themselves weren't that significant at that moment.
Drum Island° Insect Casha and "I told you to get some rest"
After the visit ofLittle Garden, we first see Zoro who is lifting weighs and it is clear he is actually concerned by the fact he couldn't do anything to help the crew - not even being able to get him, Nami and Vivi from the candle set. When Vivi tells the crew about Nami's condition worsen, Zoro and Luffy are the only ones drawn to notice it. There is a big possibility he carried her inside, because later when Nami comes out, Zoro tells her he told her to rest while he take care of the rest. In the manga, there was no moment he ever told that to her directly, nor was there a moment someone carrying Nami inside - interestingly too, it seems like Zoro voluntarily chose to navigate because he is doing it and seriously, who in their right minds would put him in this position? The only time Zoro could have said he is gonna take care of the rest (navigating) while she should rest is while he carries her. If anyone right minded heard him saying he will take care of the rest (aka things Nami does - navigating), there is no way they would just let him do it.
Aside from that, Zoro also shows he trusts her instincts completely (before, he just noted her of the fact the weather has been clear when she stated the atmosphere has changed) - the moment she asks him to call for everyone, he doesn't argue and more importanly, he orders other crewmembers and they listen to him. These whole moments show that he cares about her a lot and despite his sense of direction, he is willing to take her position until she gets better. He also trusts her now when it comes to navigation and he doesn't question her orders on the sea anymore.

After they managed to run from the storm, there is a small snippet that could indicate Zoro took Nami inside her room after she collapsed - he is seen to be the only one rushing on the deck where Nami collapsed in Vivi's arms.
Although Zoro didn't through tantrums when Nami was sick, it doesn't mean he didn't care about her at all - see the previous statement. What even fuels this is simply the fact he chose to sleep in her room with other crewmembers instead of guarding the ship - which Sanji was doing. The last moment that shows he cares is also when he stayed in Nami's room and told Luffy to go outside.
When they reached the Drum Island, Zoro is also the first one to ask who is going to get the doctor for the sick Nami, while the rest was more amazed by Drum Island's nature. This again I found to be a small moment where he shows he is worried about her too.
Alabasta arc°A powerful perfume and "I'm obviously more injured than you!"
A new crewmember whose name is Chopper joined the crew and together, they reach Alabasta. There are so many moments here, I seriously don't know where to start.. I think I will start with these little moments that center around Sanji, Zoro and Nami. There were already times Zoro got in a fight with Sanji because of Nami - the first time in Cocoyashi Village. Sometimes, Zoro would just comment how Nami uses Sanji and yet he still prefers when she does use the cook instead of him (before entering Loguetown <=> Whiskey Peak). However, in Alabasta Zoro very often retorts back whenever Sanji says anything that has to do with Nami - whether he is jealous or not, it's sure he doesn't really like it as it is shown that Nami is the only girl Sanji swoons over Zoro is more concerned about.
There are also other moments that clearly show Zoro understands her more than the rest - like how he knew Nami couldn't have anything nice in her mind after she heard the world gambling. He can easily detect her money-like thoughts and he is also very well aware whenever she uses her flirtarious side. However, he never falls for it because he knows she doesn't do it because she means it seriously but rather in other to achieve something.
The next thing is the whole camel-lifting practice he was doing. Nami usually says nothing when he practices, but she somehow must have felt his tension after they left Luffy with Crocodile back in Rainbase. She tells him to not waste his strenght on something like that but Zoro probably finds her annoying and he just tells her to shut up. It was kinda harsh from Zoro, but that still displays he isn't afraid to say something like that to her when he finds her annoying him. Again, she can be worried about him even though he doesn't truly care about it. She didn't even comment on other crewmembers at all.

When Zoro and Nami are paired up together and they end up facing an enemy, Nami cheers on him - she encourages him to take care of both the enemies. Nami definitely knows how capable he is and she herself probably had no intensions to fight at all ^^;; however, Zoro doesn't particularly likes her cheering him on, because he seems to be pretty distracted by it - and he even tells her to shut up. Pretty mean of him if I may say, but nevertheless, it's still good to see Nami cheering him on something and Zoro being distracted by her xD
Another moments...ah well, I just seriously like this panel with their names:
Apparently, their enemies decided to follow and kill Nami first. She runs from them and Zoro has no choice but to worry about her and try to find her. When he finds her, he tries to use a shortcut and by this point, it could seem like Zoro will never be able to save Nami. Nami on the other hand was questioning where the swordsman go, because she knows Zoro would be able to take care of them if he was there with her.

Nami on the other hand was questioning where the swordsman go, because she knows Zoro would be able to take care of them if he was there with her.
Strangely enough, Zoro was able to find Nami with his extremely poor sense of direction! He saves her from the certain death and seriously, this isn't the only moment he saved Nami despite being lost - earlier, he took care of some bandits that were ready to attack Nami and Usopp too. Could this possibly mean that somewhere in his heart, he has a compass to where Nami is? I really like this headcannon, whoever it was. I will not take credit for it, but that's a very plausible headcanon about his ability to find Nami despite her being in danger and him having no sense of direction ^^
Unfortunately, Zoro wasn't able to make sure Ms.Doublefinger wouldn't come after her and when he tries to warn her, she is already gone. Just a thought that Nami has to really fight when she is mostly scared of it makes him uneasy and worried.
During their fights and after it, I find it very interesting that Nami and Zoro both learnt the things they will use later on from the crew the most - Nami learnt how to use Clima tact, while Zoro learnt how to cut iron; there is also a possibility he also awakened Kenbunshoku Haki here, which would be even more significant.
After Zoro's fight, he is injured but still worried about others...his mind especially wanders to Nami and he ensures himself she should have escaped safely. He probably shouldn't underestimate her that much, but I can understand him though. By that time, Nami has shown to be brave and all, but Zoro knows she isn't one of the strongest and seriously, she is supposed to face a professional assassin? He didn't know anything about Nami's staff, that's why he couldn't have possibly thought about her being able to fight and she would probably choose to run instead. What is also interesting is the fact the two of them were probably paired together not by some luck, but rather because they wanted it - after all, I think it's a bit hinted Sanji somehow told who is going with whom (Usopp complained to Sanji about why does he have to be with a camel).
An ultimate moment between Zoro and Nami, a moment that every ZoNa shipper should remember. A very small moment but still a moment, where Zoro carries Nami despite his injuries! He knows full well she is lying through her teeth, but he still copes with it. And Nami? She was seen running before she even found him. Then why is it that after she saw him, she requested something like that? I think that by ordering him something like that, she can make sure he is absolutely fine, because let's face it - his wound wouldn't seem like nothing at all. She knew if he colapsed, it was a very serious wound, whereas if he does carry her, Zoro will prove her he is alright. There is also a pssibility of her being spoiled hahah ... Her leg might have truly hurt her, but it wasn't that bad to incapable her - before she found him and after he carried her, she is seen to stand and running fine too.
What is also nice to see is that although their debt was already cleared, Nami can still order Zoro around despite he doesn't really like it. This however also leads me to think he might have felt guilty because he got her injured (although not that seriously) - but either way, the issue here is he still complies with her, debt or not ^^;;
In chapter 214, it is again more clearly shown he doesn't really like Nami's money-loving nature and he isn't afraid to accuse her of that fact.
Jaya arc°Two guardians and "Why didn't you go?"
-So, well, more and more, it is shown how much these two understand or not understand each other, but in Jaya arc, it is clearly seen that Zoro and Nami are both some kind of Luffy's guardians who have to make sure he won't stray from his path. It is also nice to see the original trio again. Most of the time, it shows how Zoro and Nami are both more mature and don't recklessly jump into every single thing but leaving them have to deal with their a lot more reckless captain.
Oh... I think this is also an appropriate time to show Nami doesn't always just recklessly beat everyone, Zoro including. Like here, Zoro is seen sleeping close to the rest, and yet, Nami later beats only Usopp and Luffy for their lack of common sense haha...
After Luffy departed to fight Bellamy and get some gold back, Nami asks Zoro why didn't he go with him since he was beaten by them too. Zoro doesn't find a need to go, but I find it to be very nice Nami is taking her eye on him. Because knowing herself, she would want to beat the shit out of them. Zoro tries to tell her the reason why he didn't go, but Nami can't exactly get it. In a way, I think Zoro was happy for that gesture Nami showed - that it was okay for him to go with Luffy too - but he found it to be a trouble to explain it to her again (after she accused him of being an idiot).

...and when Zoro (and Luffy) both start acting cockingly, she tells them to stop it too. Just telling she knows when they start acting like that and she wants them to cut it out ^^;;
When Nami and Usopp complain about their situation, Zoro is shown to notice it and instead of telling them to stop it, he just points out the change in the situation they missed. In other words, Zoro noticed their complaining, but knowing Luffy who doesn't back off, he knew it's pointless for him to try and do something about either the complaining side or the stubborn side not taking any complains seriously - he rather chose to inform the complaining side about the worse things are gonna come for them xD
Skypiea arc°A shirt and "The snake..I've got some business to do with your stomach"
This arc is like, some people might say extremely ZoRobin, but I dare to very strongly disagree on that fact. There are a lot of ZoNa moments too. The first moment is somewhat small, but I like how Zoro took care of a monster that scared both Chopper and Nami. Not much to analyze here aside from the fact he knew the monster scared them xD Zoro knows when Nami can be afraid and this time, he gets rid of the object that scared her and Chopper ^^;;
One of great moments indicating those two know the other's stuff and actions is when Zoro resurfaces from water while punching a shark. Please note that Nami is someone who knows Zoro is strong, and she is by far the only person who alluded his actions were definitely not swordsman-like. She knows he prides himself a lot as a swordsman and seeing him punch a shark to defeat it sure surprised her. And this is yet another Zoro-Nami-Chopper little moment as Chopper is commenting his strenght too. What is the best though is that moments after that, Nami throws him a new shirt for him to wear - a shirt we never saw before, and something Nami picked herself. In one of SBS, Oda mentioned Zoro, Chopper and Luffy can't dress themselves, and this moment just makes me want to think Nami is doing the dressing up for him ^^ either way, it's nice to see she knows his stuff and she also points out his actions earlier weren't really plausible ^^ the other important thing is also the fact Nami knows his navigation skills are very poor - she tells him he is the one who should stay put the most.
Earlier, Nami told how scary a place she stumbled upon was - and of all people, she was telling these things to Zoro. Nami is really trying her best to probably get him on her side or convince him not to go there, but Zoro doesn't seem to even care at all. Eventually, he even tells her to do what she wants.
However, no matter how much he doesn't care about her complains or how much he finds her to be a pain, whenever she is in danger, he can't help but worry about her, right? So what happened to his "Whatever you say" to her "You want me to get killed by those pursuers!!?". His actions scream ha cares and doesn't want her to get killed at all.
More interestingly though is when Zoro witnesses what Enel did to Lucky - someone Wiper is close to. What does he do after that? He immediately wants to fight his enemy? No way ~~ He turns his attention to a snake that earlier ate Nami and others. And I shall repeat it was after he saw what Enel could do to someone Wiper was close to.
When the snake was eletrocuted, Zoro shows a very surprised and shocked expression that tells he is worried - and when Nami really does show up, he raises his voice in surprise, but right after, he is more calm after knowing she is alright. So, what happened to his "I don't care what happens to you attitude"? His actions proved otherwise.
Another great moment where Zoro shows he trusts Nami a lot is when he decided to leave Chopper with Nami as he and others decide to challenge Enel - it was as if he was telling her to hide with an injured Chopper as he takes care of the enemy ^^
Long Ring Long Island°Nami's fingers on Zoro's teeth and "Team work, you two!"
In this arc, there are not much things, but I liked the moment where Zoro scolded Chopper rather harshly and although Nami doesn't like it at first, she doesn't argue with him when she discovered it had a positive effect on Chopper (she acknowledged Zoro's attitude to Chopper didn't have negative effect but the opposite and she knows it would he unwise of her to say anything further).
And there is also a small "teamwork" between Zoro and Nami when Zoro tried to assure Sanji he looks like a prince but doesn't succeed. However, when Nami praises Sanji of it, she enables Zoro to continue it with the prince of "idiots" ^^;;
And this is just one an irrelevant moment, but I love the fact Nami's fingers found their ways to touch Zoro's teeth in this panel xD she definitely doesn't mind touching his face at all - and the same way, Zoro doesn't mind her touching his face either ^^
Water 7 arc°Zoro's miracle and "You're still causing serious injuries!"
Truly, this moment here just proves Zoro DOESN'T mind being in Nami's presence at all. Even better, he is trying to sleep while being close to her, but he is disturbed by Sanji and starts arguing with him. Again, Zoro starts a fight with Sanji because of Nami who earlier praised his cooking ^^;; if Zoro seriously didn't want to be disturbed, he should understand Sanji enough to know the best place to sleep is somewhere not close to Nami and maybe even Robin - but nooo, the guy still prefers to sleep close to Nami ^^
A lot later, Zoro with Nami and Chopper are in their way to find their captain in order to get into Iceburg's house. Zoro and Chopper surprisingly agree with everything Nami says here, no arguing back. This just shows how similar opinions all three of them have regarding their captain ^^;;;
And another thing is also the fact Nami often asks Zoro questions he doesn't know answer to. It has happened more than once in the past (Syrup Village I believe?). And mainly, she asks him about Luffy's whereabouts as if he would know the anser to it XD Zoro then stops midtrack, because he has realized their running is pointless when they were seen already, but Nami is confused by his sudden action and asks him about what he is saying.
Zoro decided to fight back innocent shipwrights. Nami doesn't stop him but both her and Chopper later comment he is still causing injuries there.
Chopper is then in awe again, but Nami doesn't have such a positive view on it because he knocked out all shipwrights and she angrily asks him that question. However, she easily moves on and tells them to go. If Nami and Chopper weren't with him at that moment, there is no way he could have been able to reach a room with CP9 and Iceburg at all. Nami calls his inability to go the right way a miracle and she is openly shocked of it ^^;; And this isn't the only time - he later nearly got lost on the staircase too.

Nami again orders Zoro around, but although he doesn't like it, he still does so. Not much has changed, yup xD
In dangerous moments, Nami also very trusts Zoro like here - she does what he told her, despite not knowing why.
This yet another small snippet, but it clearly shows Nami knows what stuff boys like - just like the way Zoro knows about her ^^ may I remind you, there is no way sake is something to boost your strenght (unless you have drunken martial arts style) so why did Nami even brought it with meat? Well, my head tells me she wanted to make Zoro happy and boost his morale if not his strenght ^^ (seriously, look at that glint near his eyes, he is really happy).
Enies Lobby arc°A Tatsumaki blow and "Which way is it?"
Although Zoro probably knows why Nami is being careful, he knows it's pointless to Luffy and tells it to her. Nami realizes Zoro is right and she doesn't fuss over things anymore. It seems like Zoro can sometimes make her fussing stop when he points out right things at her and it's good Nami doesn't just dismiss him all time, but she actually listens to him from time to time.
Just like back on Little Garden, although they are in a pressure-like situation, Zoro and Nami still have a more relaxed conversation going on - their bubbles aren't that spiked like those of some Franky family members here. Even more, Zoro is ..yeo, asking for directions! There is one later moment where Zoro still gets lost, but thanks to Chopper keeping an eye on him, that doesn't happen; Zoro however still accuses Nami of telling him bad directions, but seriously face it - he should know the best she is a great navigator, it was more like an attempt to make it like he wasn't in the wrong here than anything ^^;;
Another moment that I very like is how Zoro was able to indirectly save Nami... Zoro was able to find her despite his poor sense of direction and even defeat the enemy only. Although Nami is surprised, she later knew Zoro did it and scolded him for it. This moment just keeps telling me Zoro somehow intuitively knows when Nami is in danger and he saves her, although he has no idea where the enemy is (his poor sense of direction everyone, his sense of direction).

Hahah, Zoro and Nami are again like Luffy's guardians here - telling him to not be so cold-hearted. However, when they realize Luffy has a point, they join him too ^^;; a well-coordinated pair Zoro and Nami are, if you ask me.

Just as if it wasn't enough, it is also clear Zoro doesn't mind getting instructions from her as he is seen to be asking her about it. Somehow, this makes me think he has gotten used to take orders from her on the sea and he fulfills them. So, when she orders him about something else, he could complain about it but his habit to fulfill it still makes him do what she wants x'P
Thriller Bark arc°A slap and "Moron cook bastard, did you save Nami?"
Although there aren't many moments in this arc, there are still some that struck with me. First of all, in this page, it seems like Nami is slowly, but surely getting close to Zoro when it is revealed Brook doesn't have a shadow. If that's truly the case it can only mean she doesn't mind being in his presence and she feels safe around him too ^^
Zoro already knows Nami can somehow take care of herself now from the previous experiences - he witnessed what could her staff do (enough to make him complain about it?) and she was alone able to defeat one of CP9 too. He doesn't seem to be that worried about her when it is known she was kidnapped. I dare to say he definitely cared, but he didn't really let it show much as he already saw an extreme - Sanji that's it. I'm not a ZoSan fan much...I think he was worried about Sanji in a way probably because he was also worried whether Sanji would be able to save Nami or not. Of course, this analyses isn't too absurd because a lot later, Zoro is indeed asking whether Sanji really saved Nami. Look at his face, he wasn't supposed to go save her and yet he shows to be more worried about her than about himself - it was Franky who pointed out to him he is in a bigger pinch than the girl. I think the fact he was worried about someone who should save her (Sanji) was induced by the fact he was worried about her too. Because there is no way for him to know whether she will be alright if he isn't the one to go and save her. But oh well, this is more like my headcannon haha so don't mind it if it's too stupid xD
That's not the only moment however. After Luffy took care of Moriah, the crew is about to party and as Lola starts thanking them, Zoro takes the iniciative and tells that he and the crew didn't worry about something like saving them at all. However, that isn't something Nami wants to hear and she slaps his face. She SLAPS him! That's the only moment I can remember she ever did that. Nami knew Zoro is injured and she probably doesn't want to be too harsh on him and chose to slap him instead. She cares about Zoro's health enough to do something like that - because she also knows Zoro can take a lot of damage and not talk about it. Oda alone said it was like a small banter between two really good friends so there are truly no hard feelings on both sides here... =^.^= (even if the fact she was considerate of his injuries wasn't the case)

The last moment is a very endearing one where Nami stays with Chopper beside the injured Zoro. It's a very nice one because it shows she is very caring of him, even though she doesn't know the main reason why he was wounded in the first place. However, after hearing Chopper, she must have realized something out of ordinary happened when the rest of the crew was out cold. And since Sanji and Zoro wouldn't really want the crew to know what happened, she didn't naturally know about it. Still, Nami choses to stay with Zoro even though the rest was partying. She acknowledges Chopper's point in how Zoro doesn't even open his eyes with the noise and even adds he has always been the toughest man. I don't know but..this moment in itself speaks volumes to me how much Nami cares about Zoro. She knows he is very tough and it concers her a lot the guy doesn't even open his eyes here. Nami joined the party only later.
Shabaody Archipelago arc°Hachin and "What do you think Nami?"
When the crew was on their way to the Fishman Island, most of them were really hyped about it. However, Nami and Zoro didn't show that enthusiasm like the rest - in Nami's case, it's understandable. But Zoro of all crewmembers was worried about the island too. After hearing about fishmen and Keimi's friend, he was (probably) the only crewmember (aside from Nami) to speak openly about his worry concerning the island. It made him remember the past about one fishman they ran onto before - and that past was of course linked to Nami too.
Not long after the crew encountered Keimi, Zoro also shows he knows Nami has very mixed feelings about the Fishman Island too. When they finally encounter Hachin, he first tells her what he thinks because he knows it concerns her. And then, he even asks Nami for her opinion because she is the only one who can know the best. Has it ever happened .. for Zoro to ask her for her opinion? Maybe yes, maybe no, but here, he makes it clear her opinion matters to him because from her opinion, only then will they know what they should do next.

Another great display that shows Zoro is concerned about the fishmen is simply the fact he got unusually very angry after Keimi asked him whether Hachin is their friend or not. He couldn't have known Hachin is actually not bad, but he just didn't like the idea someone from a crew that made hell from Nami's life could be his friend.

A lot later, Nami also shows she is very worried over Zoro who dissappeared. She even seemed to hesitate even though Luffy clearly said they should get away. From all crewmembers here, she was probably the one who was most concerned about Zoro as they would be leaving him if she were to run away now. It is (who else but) Franky who reminds her of the fact there is no time to worry about the guy (and she should worry about herself more) here.

Fishman Island arc°No much changes and "Zoro, ask for 1 billion beli too.."
After the timeskip, Zoro and Nami don't have much alone time, but they still talk to each other with other straw hats like on their way to Fishman Island. Although Nami tries to explain some wonders, Zoro doesn't get it, but he still mostly pays attention to her. It's good enough he pays attention to her from time to time after being separated for 2 years which, in my opinion, could easily cause them to be more distant and probably not even noticing each other - which is thankfully not the case here.
Another interesting thing is also when Usopp asked no one in particular "Zoro?" and Nami answers him "Zoro". It's almost like Nami is the one who can determine whether it truly is Zoro or not - even though it was more than clear from the description it was indeed him.

After the timeskip, Nami also seems to be less violent as she doesn't hit her crewmembers much. In the Ryugu Palace, she even uses the situation in her favour as to ask for 1 billion Belly. Zoro doesn't immediately retort back at her, he rather chose to ignore her. From how much time they have spent together in the past, Zoro knows how Nami is and somehow, he was able to deal with it while Usopp was ... not able to deal with it so calmly xD

When Hody shows up, he reveals he has succeeded Arlong's will which shocks Nami greatly. Even though Zoro said nothing, in a way, he was also surprised (both Zoro and Nami have spots in their bubbles). After knowing who Hody was and what he did to the soldiers in the palace, Zoro didn't hold back and later slashed him.

A lot later, Zoro, Usopp and Brook are captured while Nami was able to escape with Keimi. Interestingly, when Nami meets up with Luffy, she tells him she wanted to go back to the Ryugu Palace even though she earlier said she wants to meet up with Jinbe and to know more about the situation. I think one way or another, she got a bit worried about Zoro and others - or there is also a possibility she didn't want to look like she abandoned them there. But either way, it's still nice to know that although she talked so certainly about Zoro and others being OK, a part of her still wanted to go back to the palace.
What's also interesting is Zoro in his quite bad situation, too. He doesn't worry about it at all and instead, he starts talking about Nami being able to escape - he was the first one to mention it while they were captured. Which means he believes she should be safe and knowing her well, able to run away. Zoro also doesn't even seem to want to do anything else other than waiting for Nami getting help for them - which just shows how much he trusts Nami to help them out ^^;;
This is one irrelevant moment, but it's the first time for me to see Nami fidgeting a bit after saying Zoro was responsible for something =.=

And after they party out, Zoro sleeps close to Nami ^^ he seems to be very comfortable being near her and it's really endearing to see it happen after the timeskip ^^ Moreover, he was definitely half awake, because moments later, Luffy called out his name, and the heavy sleeper Zoro was awake! Because he was half awake, and yet he was "sleeping", I can't help but think Zoro was just using that "sleeping" excuse to be near Nami hehe =3=

Also, there is no way Nami would be all that different after the time skip. She is still able to make the monster trio do the action and Zoro immediately knew there was something really bad going to happen when she mentioned the word treasures ^^ even though they were separated for years, both he and the captain can still sense whenever Nami enters her money-loving mode ^^" and yet again, Zoro hasn't changed the aspect of still going when she says so, even though he doesn't like it.

Punk Hazard arc°Body swap troubles and "Zoro, you can't go alone"
In Punk Hazard, there is the whole body-swapping moment and Sanji's soul in Nami's body has no good intention with the situation he is in. Nami doesn't like Sanji and Brook being together and using the chance they have to sneak a peak into her body at all. She knows full well how much Sanji and Zoro hate each other and she used that for her benefit. Nami orders Zoro to go with Sanji even though it's CLEAR as the clearest blue sky that Zoro doesn't want to be with Sanji at all and I'm surprised he didn't talk back to her and he gave in rather quickly too! He probably realized how much it means to Nami and more than anything, he was almost like Nami's prince protecting her honour here! XD
This one moment is rather confusing and my analyses is probably a bit bias there haha... but what I find interesting here is the face Zoro is making here. He has that puzzled expression like how could he got a Nami-like punch when certainly Sanji's soul is there xD
The prince Zoro is angry when Sanji's soul did something like groping Nami's breast - he is really pissed off at something that has something to do with Nami's body at that.
Even after the timeskip, Nami didn't forget Zoro's sense of direction and she even tells him to not go alone, knowing the guy would probably stray off somewhere (lol). Hahah, and he is following right behind her XD Zoro, you want to go with Nami? =3=

The timeskip also didn't change the fact Zoro is still being very protective of Nami and Chopper. He gets angry when he found out Monet targetted those two. He then rushed there very quickly and he was able to protect them (mind you, Monet dissappeared and was already aiming for Nami and Zoro stood for a while in one place and THEN when he realized Monet wants to attack his crewmembers, he is even FASTER than Monet who had a momentary head start and he was by Nami's side first, protecting her successfully). Another great moment too is that Nami doesn't just hide behind Zoro and she attacks Monet right after. I think the girl wanted to show both Monet and Zoro here that she isn't so defenseless and weak those two thought. She succeeded and was able to injure Monet too ^^

Dressrosa arc
In Dressrosa, Zoro gets information from Wicca about their ship (with Nami, Brook, Momonosuke, Chopper on it) being attacked. He wants to save them but because he nearly got lost, he made a deal with Wicca - he would bring her to Flower Fields and after that, she would lead him to Sunny. However, once he got to Flower Fields, he totally lost track of what he should do. When he finally remembers what he was supposed to do, he starts panicking and what does he say? He says Nami and others will- something. And I repeat: he was panicking a lot - basically, the first name he says when he is worried is Nami of all people ^^
Although Zoro didn't go to save Nami and the rest because Sanji rushed there, the next moment, I think Oda wanted to kind of compensate for it - he makes him wear a cat costume! And well...everyone should know whom does the cat resemble (the cat resembles Nami if you don't know) =.= there are things that sure connect them strangely xD

Haha.. this has gotten so long -.- it wasn't intended to be this long, but somewhere along the way, I totally lost what is important and what is not needed to mention anymore hahah... this was meant to be only analyses but in the end, it was more like explaining moments xD also, you can find hints and other reasons why this pairing in particular on other pages; mainly The reasons why ZoNa in particular.
