Appearance:
Zoro is a muscular man with green hair, he wears three earrings in his left ear. After two years, he seems to have received a scar running over his left eye. It is yet unknown how he received it and whether he can even see with his left eye. His hair has also grown a bit longer, too. Before the timeskip, he often wore his white shirt, haramaki, dark-green pants and boots. During arcs, his clothes sometimes change. After timeskip, he is seen wearing a green yukata with unbuttoned top, haramaki, dark green pants and boots. He is always carrying three swords with him. His current swords are Wadou Ichimonji, Sandai Kitetsu and Shuusui.

First impresions/conversations:
Luffy (wondering): That guy imprisoned at the navy base ... what's his name? If he is a good guy, I'll let him join my crew!
Nami (surprised to know the pirate hunter became a pirate): The crew member that guy was talking about... was the pirate hunter Zoro...!? I don't understand...!?
Usopp (just Luffy's companion): Let me be the captain, and I will join you!
Sanji (hearing Zoro's speech, he thinks Zoro is an idiot for wanting to enter Grand Line): ...Bunch of idiots. You lot are the type to rush to their deaths.
Vivi (a bit scared because Zoro was suspicious of her, he asks her for her name): And I'm Miss Wednesday...
Chopper (he just innocently told what Zoro did): He said that he saw Zoro jump into the water and disappear. He thought that Zoro was in danger, so he jumped into the water to try to save him, but he became ice.
Robin (no one interesting, the guy just pointed some dangerous weapon at her): Would you please mind, not pointing such dangerous weapons at me? (she was talking to all of them present, Zoro including)
Franky (witnesses the Straw Hats absolutely fine and energetic after the crash): You guys are all weird. Just so you know.
Brook (just cheerfully greeting the crew): Hello, everyone! How do you do? Seems like my ship and I caused some trouble. I'm "Dead-Bones" Brook! Nice to meet you!!
Personality:
Zoro often appears calm and composed, but he often overreacts in comical ways. He has to cope with many Luffy's crazy decisions, but he has quite gotten used to them now. Eventually, he sometimes act like his captain, too. There are many times where he can also show his mature and smart sides - the classic examples are how he acted during Usopp's leaving from the crew and Robin's betrayal, too.
Zoro is also very loyal to Luffy and he cares deeply for people close to him. However, gaining his trust isn't very easy and the same goes for respect, too. He is very honourable and even though not a samurai, he respects bushido to a certain degree. He isn't afraid of being hurt, even suggesting the resolutions others might consider as their last choice-for example cutting his legs to free himself from Mr.3's ability or suggesting cutting hands to get free from handcuffs. However, he is very concerned when other crewmembers are exposed to harm and he does what he can in other to save or help them.
He can also be very scary when he wants and one of the Supernovas even pointed out how big of a beast he is. Zoro also enjoys fights with people that are stronger than him - and he often shows it in a form of a maniac-like smirk. He is for these aspects often mistaken for being the captain, but Zoro himself would never want to be one - he has his dream and beside, if Luffy wasn't his captain, Zoro would lost his reason for being a pirate, too. Although he is often very calm and sometimes scary, Zoro can laugh and smile too - especially when he drinks sake. Strangely enough, he is also very tolerant and he knows some fights are pointless and thus, he doesn't fight back. The classic example of this is the fact he can cope with Nami's violent outbursts and he never hits her back. His biggest problem are his zero navigation skills which he doesn't realize he has and this often leads to the crew getting worried about him getting being lost.

My opinion:
Zoro is like the first character I ever fell in love with ^^ I really like his character - he definitely isn't perfect, but actually, that makes him perfect in a way ^^ at least, he seems more realistic this way. I really like how the calm and composed sworsdman can be easily angered mostly by his captain's crazy actions and strangely as it is, he himself sometimes does it too ^^" it was also absolutely crazy of him to suggest something like cutting hands in order to get from the handcuffs. He has many other sides I like too - he is honourable and absolutely loyal, dependable and he definitely a caring friend. He is however a bit suspicious of some people and gaining his trust isn't really easy. But then, when his trust is truly gained, it is worth it. Zoro's mature and composed side is also something I grew on and to be honest, he seems like Luffy's first mate with it.
His sense of direction is surely one of the greatest flows and although I know how serious it is, I still can't help but feel totally dumbfounded from it ^^"
Lastly, the reason why I like him so much is also because he is such a good-looking guy ^^ especially now when he has a green yukata exposing his chest (sorry, couldn't help it) -,.-

First impresions/conversations
Luffy (uninterest): Ah? Who are you anyways? I'm a thief who only steals treasure from pirates! Only steal treasure from pirates? If we team up we could get a whole lot of money! No way! I'm not interested in teaming up with you.
Zoro (amazement and interest): She can predict the weather? This girl must be something special! I wonder if she'd join us...
Usopp (she saw through my lie!): Waah! I've been caught!
Sanji (a beautiful lady): O'Blessed are the ocans for bringing me this fine day! O'love! Laugh if you will, at my poor self who cannot endure his tortuous passions! As long as I can be with you, I'm prepared to walk across any path, be it the paths of a pirate or a devil! But alas! 'tis tragic there is such a great obstacle standing between the two of us!
Vivi (horrified that a pirate just broke a log pose that was hers and her partner's): W-what!? You broke it!? And isn't that ours!? How dare you try to take advantage of our misfortune when you're just as misfortunate as we are!?
Chopper (a bit scared because she is human; at the same time worried): Sh...Shut up, human! By the way, are you feeling better?
Robin (no one interesting, the girl just pointed some dangerous weapon at her): Would you please mind, not pointing such dangerous weapons at me? (she was talking to all of them present, Nami including)
Franky (a little pirate girl interested in her money he spent): Ah? That... I already spent every penny!!! Where did you steal that money from? Don't think you can just demand your money back when you're a pirate!!!
Brook (a beautiful lady): What a lovely young woman over there!! Beauutifuul!!! I've never set eyes on such a beauty!! 'Cause skeletons don't have eyes!! Perhaps you would be so kind as to show me your panties?

Personality:
Nami is very cunning - thanks to her past - and she likes money and mikans a lot. However, she cares very deeply about her friends and people close to her, they always come first. She herself said treasures are worthless for her if she doesn't have friends to share it with. She still likes to indebt people and her charge is 300%. Her love for money is no matter how you look at it, understandable. She had to collect a big amount of money in order to buy a village from Arlong. Nami was stealing and desperately trying to find money, not for herself, but for the sake of other people in her village. It's no wonder then she is very concerned when it comes to it. After what she was through, isn't it just time for her to truly enjoy some money with her friends now? Not to mention, the crew needs money in order to survive - mainly for the food suply, but also in order to maintain the ship and other things. Like it or not, money is important even in the world like One Piece.
Everyone in the crew also depends on Nami a lot, because she has great navigation skills (maybe even one of the best). She is very calm in dangerous situations on the sea, but she often overreacts in comical ways when her crewmembers (mainly Luffy) involve her in unnecessary problems. She often punches those who act foolishly in serious situations, but she sometimes punches them because of her own reasons, too. She is also very determined and knows what to do. Nami often tries to run from battles, but when it comes to worst, she won't back off and fights back. Although she knows how physically weak she is compared to the monster trio, she and Usopp try to fight using their stronger point - their brains. Nami also likes children and she is dreadful while dealing with female marines, because they make her feel safe.

My opinion
Nami is like one of the greatest female characters I've ever met. She clearly knows what to do and even though she is weak, she is still trying her best and her skills improve significantly throughout the series. The fact that she punches the boys is justified - if she didn't do that, what would happen to the crew full of idiots? I don't even dare to imagine xD She is emotionally tough, determined and not to mention very smart. Her resolve to save her village by working eight years for the person she wants to kill herself is something you don't see everyday. How can someone still say she is a terrible money-loving freak when she has shown in more than one occasion she cares about her friends and people she is close to? She needs money to buy back her village, of course it's understandable she would have to need a lot of it. She would even put her life on stage if it means helping a friend. What I also like about her is the fact she doesn't cry much; when she does cry, it's just understandable - during sad moments or during moments of desperation. She is after all just a human being, and crying is definitely not a sin. Overall, I think she is a great character and people who hate her because she is sometimes violent or because she is "just" a money-loving freak, those people seriously weren't watching One Piece properly.
